Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz is a sound toy, a performance tool and an art work in its own right. You can play with the letter-creatures and watch and listen how they interact with each other, or use them to produce sounds capes like you would do with an electronic musical instrument.

BIO Jörg Piringer works as a freelance artist and researcher in the fields of electronic music, radio art, sound and visual electronic poetry, online communities, live performance, sound installation, computer games and video art.

ArtFem.TV is an attempt to break with a male dominated net-culture and media landscape to highlight women’s emphasis in art and media works. ArtFem.TV is a non-profit artist-run ITV and media art portal about art and feminism founded in the year 2008.

BIO Evelin Stermitz´s works are in the field of media and new media art with the main emphasis on post-structuralist feminist art practices. Beside her artistic work, Evelin Stermitz's research work is focused on women artists in media and new media art.

The binary glove teaches concepts of binary sequences and bits in a fun and engaging way. Each number combination plays a different tone. Once the wearer is comfortable with the system, he can activate a game mode and test its skills. Simple interactive exercises like these teach useful concepts that might otherwise appear too abstract for some students.

BIO Pete Hawkes is an interactive designer exploring the potential of media art in education. He is currently developing ways to bring innovative, creative tools to young people who struggle in school.

BioBodyGame

BioBodyGame consists of a wearable computer that allows the user to play games using their neurophysiologic signs. The playability can get easier or more difficult according to the emotional state of the user at that very moment. The wearable computer interprets the user’s emotion and reacts to it by changing the colors (back and front) and by applying vibrations (back).

BIO Guto (Carlos) Nóbrega is artist and researcher. During his doctorate studies, he took part of the international research group Planetary Collegium for transdisciplinary studies in the fields of art, science, technology and nature. His texts have been published in several magazines and books.

BIO In his works, Andreas Muxel is interested in the mixture of digital code and physical material and the man-machine interface. His work has been shown in many institutes and international festivals of media art.
