As an artist, I need to rest is a performance where the artist stands laying down in fetal position on the floor breathing through a long cable, which departs from inside her nostril and ends at the center of the main screen, suspended from the floor. During the performance, she exhales approximately 14,000 digital elements into the suspended screen what results in different abstract compositions projected on the screen. The artist intends to find a symbiosis between herself and her work towards a single unit, the piece.

BIO Sonia Cillari´s work involves the creation of sensorial and perceptual mechanisms in immersive and extended environments. Her interactive installations, which are in the intersection of architecture and performance art have been exhibited and presented internationally.

Building Music is a large-scale interactive audiovisual installation that explores the musicality of different architectural features. By moving the light of a flashlight along the facade of a building, the viewers create musical compositions while lighting architectural elements.

BIO Play the Magic (Alberto García, Julio Obelleiro, Jorge Cano & Pedro Enriquez) is an art group focused on creating shifts and illusions in the perception of the viewers by means of interactive installations where the viewer creates the experience through interaction.

Chorus is simultaneously an intensely physical and yet ephemeral experience. An array, suspended from the roof, swing through the space emitting light and sound. It is effectively a new kind of musical instrument, one in which the spatial location of each sound is a critical part of the composition of the piece.

BIO Founded by Chris Bird, Matt Clark and Ash Nehru in 2003, United Visual Artists (UVA) is a London based art and design practice. Their work spans architectural and responsive installations, live performance and public art and it is about social experience, turning the audience into active participants.

The Compass Phone is about the issue of whether the mobile phone is a surveillance tool or a digital leash and it has focused on turning this issue into a source for creating an alternative means of communication which delivers a more poetic experience. The Compass Phone measures the distance between two people in real-time, and then converts it to the time it takes for them to meet each other by either transport or time unit.

BIO Hayeon Yoo is an interaction designer who has interest in designing alternative means of communication that have more meaningful and aesthetic experiences. Her recent projects propose a new experience through tangible interface design that also raise ethical questions about current technology.

Kafka's The Trial is the springboard for a CPU, a dance and theatre stereoscopic real-time piece where the images of the performers are gathered digitally, manipulated and remixed live to an audience, each one wearing 3D cinema glasses, plunges into a thrilling and disturbing illusory world.

BIO 1n0ut is an artist collective that works both collaboratively and individually on a variety of visual and interactive art/dance/theatre projects, with a focus on generating synesthetic experiences. The artists mix analogue and digital processes in their work to achieve what they have in mind.

CubeBrowser

A situationistic voyage through online images and collaborative associations, CubeBrowser is a six display cube with digital screens that connects itself to online databases like Flickr.com. The visitor is able to move through thousands of image-sets by turning and shaking the small cube in space.

BIO Ludwig Zeller is an artist, designer and developer, who experiments the fields of interaction design and art. His work deals with aspects of urbanism, cognitivism and the phenomena of network topology, topics with which he has contributed on several international exhibitions, conferences and workshops.
